Group therapy is a very powerful form of treatment in which a small group of clients meet on a regular basis to discuss, process, and resolve specific problems. We often offer groups on specific topics, such as; anger management, parenting, trauma, addiction, and depression. Some groups are more educational in nature. Group therapy can help individuals meet goals and make progress through the interactions and contributions that they experience in the group. A group may be open or closed. In an open group, a group member can join at any time. In a closed group, a group member starts when the group begins. Group therapy has been helpful to clients through offering their own insights, suggestions, and empathy regarding their problems.
