Individual therapy is a collaborative process between you and your therapist that aims to improve your quality of life and the specific goals you may have. Individual therapy is often sought for common concerns such as; relationship issues, difficulty dealing with stress, and employment issues. It is also sought for more specific mental health issues such as; depression, anxiety, trauma, or ADHD. Our therapists are required at a minimum to have a master’s degree and to be licensed by the state of Kansas. We are a training facility and a few of our staff are in a master’s level or Ph.D. training program and under supervision from a licensed clinician. Therapists utilize a variety of techniques depending on their training and the client’s presenting problem. If you are looking for a specific treatment strategy, it is important to discuss this with staff or the therapist. At the end of your 1st appointment you should have a clear understanding of the length and type of treatment recommended.
