Alexis Painter, LMFT
Alexis graduated from Friends University with a Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2017. Alexis has training in Fundamentals of Play Therapy, Fundamentals of Sand Tray and Basic and Advanced/Enhanced Certifications for Accelerated Resolution Therapy. Specific populations frequently serviced include, but are not limited to, reintegration post-incarceration, couple and relationship issues, victims of trauma (including domestic abuse, sexual abuse, physical abuse, and neglect), personality disorder, anxiety, attachment issues, depression, childhood and adolescent behavioral issues, grief and adjustment disorders. |
Ashlynn Farrison, LCMFT
Ashlynn Farrison is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist. She has experience working with early adolescence through adults. She provides both family and individual therapy. Ashlynn is a school-based therapist that works on Fridays. During the summer, she continues to see clients at the Augusta clinic. Her goal is to help individuals recognize their inner strengths and ways to harness that strength to aid in relief. Therapy is a collaboration and each client is an expert on themselves allowing her to access and to help guide through dark times. |
Branda Horsch, LMSW
Branda Horsch graduated from Wichita State University with a Master’s degree in Social Work and is a Licensed Master Social Worker. Branda provides individual therapy to all populations but has a particular interest in working with the child and adolescent population. Branda works out of the El Dorado Clinic. |
Brian Howard, LMLP
Brian graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Kansas State University, and got a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Washburn University. Brian worked for the Department of Corrections, performing psychological evaluations on inmates as they entered the state system. Brian also received a license as an Addiction Counselor, and worked for a group of opiate addiction clinics where he traveled between Florida and Louisiana. After working as a Crisis Therapist in Wichita, he spent the last four years counseling at an opiate addiction clinic. Brian likes bicycling and visiting hiking trails. He also travels to historical and scenic places and take photographs. |
Chelsea Dey, T-LPC
Chelsea received her undergraduate degree from WSU and proceeded to attend the University of South Carolina where she earned her M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs. After working at colleges on the East Coast and in the Midwest, she returned to WSU where she earned her M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Chelsea began working with SCMH in 2021 as an intern, and since completing her degree, has continued to work as a clinician in the Andover office. Outside of work Chelsea enjoys time with family and friends, binging Netflix episodes, and baking. |
Chelsea Nguyen, PsyD
El Dorado Clincial Coordinator Assessment Director Chelsea Nguyen began working with SCMH in 2016 as a pre-doctoral intern. Chelsea continued to work as a clinician in the El Dorado office after her internship and graduated with a Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) degree from Wheaton College in May 2019. Chelsea utilizes a family systems framework integrated with evidence-based interventions to work with a wide variety of presenting issues, particularly with underserved populations. In her free time, Chelsea enjoys cheering for the LSU Tigers and spending as much time as she can outdoors or playing tennis. |
Cheryl Parker, LBSW, LAC
Parker graduated from Wichita State University and achieved a Bachelors of Social Work and then became a Licensed Addiction Counselor. Parker has a passion to help people who struggle with addiction. She loves KU basketball and enjoys time with family, friends, and her daughter. |
Dawn Gadberry, LSCSW
Augusta Clinical Coordinator Dawn Gadberry is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Wichita State University in 2006. Dawn has a wide variety of experiences primarily focused on depression, anxiety, anger, mood disorders, grief and loss, trauma, and crisis prevention. She works with adults and elderly populations. Dawn utilizes a cognitive-behavioral therapeutic approach, believing that every person can impact their personal experience and navigate through a difficult situation in a positive way. |
Eric McDaniel, LMLP
Eric earned his Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Emporia State University and holds a Kansas license as a Master Level Psychologist. Currently, Eric works as a contract therapist for SCMHCC and works in both the Andover and Augusta clinics. Eric joined SCMHCC in 2013 and has a special interest in trauma disorders, anxiety, anger management, and depression disorders. Eric's therapeutic style is primarily integrative with strong influences from cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, and acceptance and commitment therapy. |
Ginger Golden, LCMFT
Ginger is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist who values the chance to come alongside each person where they are and help them find hope and healing. Ginger believes that the decision to begin therapy is a deeply personal choice to make and not one to be taken lightly. Ginger received a Master’s of Science in Family Therapy from Friends University in Wichita. She has worked with a wide range of people in community mental health facilities. Ginger loves to work with individuals, couples, and families. She also focuses on helping children, teenagers, and adults through issues of trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, and a variety of other issues. |
Iris Pauly, LCP
Clinical Director Andover Clinical Coordinator Iris Pauly graduated from Emporia State University with a degree in Clinical Psychology. She began working at SCMH following graduation and has been at South Central Mental Health since. She currently works as the Clinical Director and Clinical Coordinator of the Andover Clinic. Iris is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and enjoys working with all ages, supervising and supporting staff, and educating the community on mental health.

Jovonna "Joey" Johnson, LMSW
Jovonna graduated from Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2011. She then graduated from Newman University with her Master’s in Social Work in the summer of 2012. Jovonna has been a Licensed Master Social Worker since January 2015. She has a background in community mental health, the foster care system, the school system, and family preservation. She also has full-time ministry experience. Jovonna is passionate about mental health; particularly, helping individuals overcome the symptoms of depression, anxiety, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). She is also passionate about trauma work. Jovonna enjoys working with pre-adolescents, adolescents, their families, and young adults. |
Kaylee Looney, LMSW
Kaylee Looney is a Licensed Master Social Worker who began working for South Central Mental Health as a case manager in 2018. She graduated from University of Oklahoma with a Masters in Social Work in 2020. Kaylee believes in the power of play and attachment while working with children and their parents. Kaylee has received training in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy. With a strengths-focused perspective, Kaylee enjoys working with children, families, and individuals to remove barriers to treatment and move toward growth.

Lisa Grey, LCAC
Lisa Grey graduated from Emporia State University in 2013 with a Master's Degree in Rehab Counseling. She earned her clinical license in 2016 and has been with SCMH since December 2020 as a drug and alcohol assessor. Lisa has experience with juveniles in the legal system, homeless women, domestic violence, and HUD Housing. |
Lueata Evenson, LSCSW
Lueata Evenson graduated from Wichita State University with her Master’s in Social Work in 2007. She has utilized her LMSW as a medical social worker with hospice. Lueata obtained her clinical license in Texas in 2015. Since then, Lueata has worked with different ages, populations, and diversities. Her specialties are grief counseling, depression, anxiety, family, and couple’s counseling. In 2019, Lueata transferred back to Kansas. She is glad to be back home. She enjoys spending time with family, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and being outside. |
Makenzie Dunn, TLMLP
Makenzie Dunn graduated from Washburn University with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. She is a temporary Licensed Masters Level Psychologist. Makenzie treats anxiety and trauma-related disorders using a cognitive-behavioral therapeutic approach. She specializes in serving individuals, families, and couples. Makenzie is part of the Psychological Assessments Team at SCMHCC. Her assessment interests include bariatric surgery, parenting evaluations, developmental and intellectual disabilities. Outside of her therapeutic work, Makenzie enjoys riding horses and playing with her dogs. |
Renae McFalls, LMSW
Renae McFalls received her master’s in social work with a clinical focus from Newman University in 2011, she is a licensed master social worker. She has experience working with children through adults. She provides both family and individual therapy. Renae's approach to therapy is no matter if you are struggling with anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, personal or family challenges; therapy should be tailored to a client's strengths. |
Shannon Stabler, LCAC, LPC
Shannon Stabler has been committed to serving those with substance use disorders since 2018. Shannon is a passionate person who always goes the extra mile to meet client needs. She graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor’s degree in 1998. Her area of concentration was Sociology/Criminology. A strong believer in continuous learning and self-improvement, Shannon received her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis on Substance Abuse Treatment in 2018. Her current credentials are Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC), Licensed Master Addictions Counselor (LMAC) and Licensed Professional Counselor, (LPC). Shannon is currently serving as the SUD Program Director at SCMHCC since 2019. |
Tamara Martin, LMSW, Social Worker
Tamara Martin graduated from Wichita State University with a Master’s degree in Social Work in 2017. She has been in the mental health and child welfare fields since 2001 and enjoys working with children and their parents to improve behaviors and quality of life. Tamara has experience in dealing with a range of anxiety and mood disorders. |
William Bell, LCPC
Will graduated from Cornerstone University with a Master's Degree in Counseling. Will joined SCMH in 2021 as a contract intake clinician. Will has several years of experience working as a therapist with children and their parents in schools, homes, and community settings. He has received extensive training and supervision in Brief Strategic Family Therapy. When he is not working at SCMH, he works at a private practice in Wichita. |
