What if I am concerned about a family member or a friend?
Our compassionate crisis team is here to listen, support, and help explore treatment options for those you care about. While we cannot require your loved one to enter treatment, we remain available and ready to help whenever they choose to seek support. If your family member or friend expresses an immediate safety concern, our staff may recommend contacting 911 to ensure their safety. The crisis team’s highest priority is the well-being and safety of everyone we serve. What about going to a hospital? SCMH provides outpatient services; however, we understand that in rare situations, brief hospitalization may be necessary to help stabilize symptoms and ensure safety. In these circumstances, our crisis staff can assist with arranging admission, communicating with hospital providers during the stay, and supporting discharge planning. We are committed to being with you every step of the way. |
