What if I am concerned about a family member or a friend? Our compassionate crisis team is here to listen and provide treatment options for those you care about. Although our team can't force your loved one into treatment we will be here waiting when he/she is ready to get help. Please note that if your family member or friend reports an immediate safety concern, staff may recommend that you call 911 in order to keep him/her safe. The crisis department's number one goal is to ensure the safety of all those seeking our help. What about going to a hospital? SCMH provides outpatient services, but we understand that on a rare occasion, brief hospitalization may be needed to stabilize symptoms and ensure safety. In these instances, SCMH crisis staff can assist in making admission arrangements, communicate with hospital staff during the stay, and assist with hospital discharge planning. We will be with you throughout the process. |
